The Radio 1090 Bulletin Board is located at www.bb.radio1090.net. Currently, only visitors aged 13 years and older are permitted to use the Radio 1090 Bulletin Board. This is because Radio 1090 is required to adhere to the United States federal COPPA law, which protects minors and their personal information on the Internet. The law requires website operators, such as Radio 1090, to follow certain rules while collecting information from users aged under 13 years.
Users aged 13 and older may access the bulletin board without registering. However, accessing the board anonymously does not permit many actions, such as posting and replying. When a user registers on the bulletin board, their information (such as their desired username, password, email address, etc.) is sent to our server to be processed. A confirmation email is sent to the user's email address, which requires the user to click a link in order to confirm their registration. Their bulletin board account will only be functional after the registration is confirmed. If no action is taken, the account will not function.
We encourage users not to submit their screen names and other personal identifiable information when registering. Unless special settings are set, all the information submitted when registering are viewable by all bulletin board visitors, except for the password. Although the Radio 1090 webmaster has set settings that instruct almost all search engines not to crawl the bulletin board website or index its pages and content, it should not be assumed that nothing you post to the bulletin board will appear under search engines. Radio 1090 reserves the right to occasionally email registered bulletin board users regarding board announcements. This is the only manner in which we will use your email address. Unless you disable the feature, other board members may also email you through a feature on board's website; regular users (except for the board administrators) do not have access to your email address.
The official Radio 1090 bulletin board moderators routinely browse the board for posts and respond to certain ones. Please read the board's administrator's announcement at http://www.bb.radio1090.net/viewtopic.php?t=74 to learn about the rights and jobs of the moderators.
